Small Cambridge non-profit seeks Coordinator for multicultural, multilingual, non-traditional language programs, international homestay programs, and educational publishing.
Market, coordinate, and participate in our language and homestay programs. Must be very interested in languages and enjoy working with both adults and children. Saturday mornings and some evening hours required. The ideal candidate will be a generalist comfortable doing community outreach and marketing, with excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, computer and web experience, flexibility, cross-cultural experience, and a love of languages.
Full time (40 hrs/ week) or part time (30 hrs/ week). Must participate actively in language activities – lead the Saturday club 11am-12:30pm, and attend at least one other club each week in the early evening.
A minimum of two years related experience required. Valid MA driver’s license and access to a car (for occasional use) required. Japanese language skills strongly preferred. Grant writing or fundraising experience a plus. Multilingual individuals encouraged to apply.
Salary: low 30’s. Excellent benefits, including health and dental. (Salary and benefits pro-rated if part time.) Possible travel to Japan, Mexico, China, or U.S. cities once or twice a year.
Candidates must be legal to work in the U.S. and living in the greater Boston area. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor your visa or assist with relocation.
